Our Commitment to Accessibility

We believe that everyone deserves equal access to financial information and tools. To that end, Empower Finance Uganda is dedicated to providing a website that is usable by all people, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many available standards and guidelines.

Standards Compliance

Empower Finance Uganda strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines outline best practices for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. We regularly review our website to ensure it meets these standards. Our efforts include:

Assistive Technologies

Specific Accessibility Measures Implemented

To ensure our commitment to accessibility, we have implemented the following measures:

• Keyboard Navigation: The website can be navigated using a keyboard alone.
• Color Contrast: Sufficient color contrast is maintained throughout the website to ensure readability.
• Resizable Text: Users can resize the text on the website without losing content or functionality.
• Form Labels: All form fields have clear and descriptive labels.
• Consistent Navigation: A consistent navigation structure is used throughout the website.
• Clear Headings: Headings are used to structure content and make it easier to understand.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, there may be some limitations to the accessibility of Empower Finance Uganda. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website and will address any known issues as quickly as possible. Known limitations may include:

• Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to replace these with accessible versions.
• Certain third-party integrations may not be fully accessible. We are working with these vendors to improve accessibility.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our website to identify areas for improvement and implement new accessibility measures. We also provide training to our staff on accessibility best practices. We are dedicated to providing a website that is accessible to everyone, and we appreciate your help in achieving this goal.
